Speech - Language Pathologist

Dyann is a licensed speech-language pathologists dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized, practical treatment.  A key component of the practice is ongoing collaboration with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other agencies.

Dyann Castro-Wehr, M.S., C.C.C.-SLP, (she/her/hers)

Dyann has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist more than 30 years. The fuel for her work has been her genuine love for the art of communication and social connection. Dyann opened her private practice in 2010 with the intention of providing Speech and Language Pathology services in a way that combines her unique skills as a Speech and Language Pathologist, Holistic Health Counselor, parent and advocate.

With a commitment to learning and a desire to offer clients high quality services, Dyann participates in on-going educational opportunities and professional development.

In 2014, she completed the Social Thinking® Training Program Level 1-Assessment, under the direction of Michelle Garcia Winner and Dr. Pamela Crooke. Since then, she has completed multiple courses through the Social Thinking® organization. With a specialization in social pragmatic communication disorder, Dyann has worked closely with many neurodiverse teens and young adults and their parents as they prepare to launch towards greater independence in college or the work force and navigate the complexities of their social world

Dyann has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, public and non-public schools. She holds a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders, American Speech-Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competency, Clinical-Rehabilitative Teaching Credential, California and Washington State Licenses in Speech-LanguagePathology, and is a certified Holistic Health Counselor.
